Dear Ron,

I would like to thank all the "Class of 67" for giving me such a wonderful time at your reunion. It was a very happy occasion, and I will never forget it. It was lovely to see you all again, and to catch up on what you have been doing. I always knew that group would go far, for what impressed me was the sense, which so many of you feel, of commitment and responsibility towards society - a desire that your careers should be not only successful but also meaningful (I would say you have achieved both ambitions).

Special thanks to you for taking such good care of me throughout the weekend, to Damian for coming with you to meet me at the station, to the girls for the beautiful flowers (which survived the train journey very well) and to all of you for your hospitality, generosity and kindness.
